Irresistible Banana Walnut Dream Cake

Ingredients:

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature

1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

3 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup sour cream

4 ripe bananas, mashed

1 cup walnuts, chopped

1 1/2 cups cream cheese frosting

1/2 cup banana slices (for garnish)

1/4 cup walnuts (for garnish)

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour three 9-inch round cake pans.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter until creamy. Gradually add the granulated sugar and brown sugar, beating until light and fluffy.

Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the sour cream, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Mix just until combined.

Fold in the mashed bananas and chopped walnuts.
