- 1 cup cauliflower florets
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (use whole wheat or panko for added texture)
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions:
- Prepare Cauliflower:
- Wash and cut the cauliflower into bite-sized florets if not already done.
- Prepare Egg Wash:
- In a small bowl, beat the egg. This will be used to help the breadcrumbs adhere to the cauliflower.
- Prepare Breadcrumb Mixture:
- In another bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix well to ensure the spices are evenly distributed.
- Coat Cauliflower:
- Dip each cauliflower floret into the egg wash, ensuring it’s fully coated.
- Then, roll the cauliflower in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to ensure the breadcrumbs stick. Repeat until all florets are coated.
- Air Fry:
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Place the coated cauliflower florets in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the basket; you may need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
- Air fry for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time, until the cauliflower is golden brown and crispy.
- Serve:
- Remove from the air fryer and let cool slightly before serving.
- Enjoy your crispy, delicious air-fried cauliflower florets!
