Air-Fried Cauliflower Florets

  • 1 cup cauliflower florets
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (use whole wheat or panko for added texture)
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Cauliflower:
    • Wash and cut the cauliflower into bite-sized florets if not already done.
  2. Prepare Egg Wash:
    • In a small bowl, beat the egg. This will be used to help the breadcrumbs adhere to the cauliflower.
  3. Prepare Breadcrumb Mixture:
    • In another bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix well to ensure the spices are evenly distributed.
  4. Coat Cauliflower:
    • Dip each cauliflower floret into the egg wash, ensuring it’s fully coated.
    • Then, roll the cauliflower in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to ensure the breadcrumbs stick. Repeat until all florets are coated.
  5. Air Fry:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
    • Place the coated cauliflower florets in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the basket; you may need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
    • Air fry for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time, until the cauliflower is golden brown and crispy.
  6. Serve:
    • Remove from the air fryer and let cool slightly before serving.
    • Enjoy your crispy, delicious air-fried cauliflower florets!
