Braised Rib with Wine Sauce

 

Ingredients:

1.5 kg of beef ribs, cut into large pieces
Salt and black pepper to taste
Olive oil
2 large onions
1 carrot
1 stalk of celery or leek
5 cloves of garlic
1 sprig of rosemary
1 finger pepper (optional)
2 tablespoons of tomato paste
750 ml to 1 liter of dry red wine (Merlot or other variety of your choice)
1 teaspoon of butter
1 teaspoon of wheat flour
