Baked Apple Oatmeal

  • 2 cups old-fashioned  rolled oats
  • 2 cups unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of your choice)
  • 2 medium-sized  apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons honey or  maple syrup (optional, adjust according to sweetness preference)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Cooking spray or butter for greasing the baking dish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish with cooking spray or  butter.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the  rolled oats, almond milk, diced apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, honey or maple syrup (if using), and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined.
  3. Pour the oatmeal mixture into the greased baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until the oatmeal is set and the top is lightly golden brown.
  5. Once baked, remove the oatmeal from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
  6. Serve the baked  apple oatmeal warm, optionally with a drizzle of additional honey or  maple syrup on top, and enjoy!
