- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan lightly with cooking spray.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a separate large bowl, combine the applesauce, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Mix until well blended.
- Add the Greek yogurt, eggs, and vanilla extract to the applesauce mixture. Beat with a whisk or electric mixer until smooth.
- Gradually add the dry flour mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Fold in the chocolate chips gently, reserving a few to sprinkle on top if desired.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on top.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with moist crumbs.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
