Ingredients
-250 gr. Of flour
-180 ml. milk
-7 gr. of yeast
-60 gr. of sugar
-1 egg
-10 gr. of baking powder
-50 gr. Butter (at room temperature)
-60 gr. Butter (additional)
-70 gr. of sugar
-200 ml. of milk cream

Step by Step Preparation

-In a container, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, egg, baking powder and butter at room temperature.

-Pour in the milk gradually while mixing the ingredients to achieve a homogeneous dough. Knead the mixture for a few minutes until you obtain a smooth and elastic texture.

-Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes to ferment and become spongy.
Meanwhile, cut the 60 grams of additional butter into cubes.

-After resting, roll out the dough on a floured surface until it reaches a uniform thickness.

-Once the dough has completely rested, we make holes with our finger on the entire surface. Next, we place each cube of butter and sprinkle the sugar on the surface of the rolled out dough.

Next step, preheat the oven to 180°C. Bake for 20 minutes or until the top is golden and cooked through. While it is baking, prepare the heavy cream.

-After the first 20 minutes of baking, add the milk cream on the cake and continue baking for 10 more minutes at 180 ° C.

-Take out of the oven and let it cool down. Serve and enjoy this delicious, melt-in-your-mouth German cake!

TIPS:
Quality of ingredients: Make sure you use fresh, high-quality ingredients. This will make a difference in the flavor and final texture of your cake.

Accuracy in measurements: When working with ingredients such as flour, sugar and yeast, follow measurements precisely. Accuracy in proportions will help to obtain a perfect dough.

Ingredient Temperature: When working with shortening and other temperature-sensitive ingredients, make sure they are at room temperature. This will facilitate the integration of the elements and improve the final texture.

Dough Resting Time: Resist the temptation to rush the dough’s resting time. Allow it to ferment and rest as long as necessary to achieve a fluffy and delicious texture.

Uniform stretching of the dough: When you stretch the dough, make sure it has a uniform thickness. This will ensure even cooking and a balanced texture in each serving.

Equal distribution of filling: When adding the butter and sugar mixture over the rolled out dough, distribute it evenly to obtain a balanced flavor in each portion.

Let cool before serving: Allow your cake to cool properly before cutting and serving. This will help it maintain its shape and texture.
