Sprinkle food-grade diatomaceous earth in areas where cockroaches travel. It dehydrates and kills them, but is safe for humans and pets.
7. Lemon Peels
Cockroaches are repelled by the scent of lemon. Place lemon peels in areas where cockroaches are a problem, or wash surfaces with lemon juice.
8. Boric Acid
Mix boric acid with a little flour and sugar to make a dough. Place small balls of the dough in corners and other hiding spots. Boric acid is highly effective at killing cockroaches.
