INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees top/bottom heat. Thoroughly grease a 30 cm loaf tin.
Beat the butter, sugar, vanilla sugar and salt until creamy. Add the eggs and beat everything for another five minutes.
Mix flour and baking powder. Add the dry ingredients to the dough along with the egg liqueur or milk.
Finally, fold in the chocolate shavings.

Fill the dough into your loaf pan. Bake the cake for 45-50 minutes and let it cool completely. If the surface becomes too dark, you can cover it with some aluminum foil.
Turn the cold cake out of the tin. Melt the chocolate over a water bath and cover the cake with it.
