- Begin by seasoning the chicken breasts generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 6-8 minutes per side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Meanwhile, cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Deglaze the skillet with chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
- Stir in heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese, allowing the sauce to simmer and thicken slightly.
- Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning the creamy sauce over the top. Let the chicken simmer in the sauce for 2-3 minutes to heat through.
- To serve, divide the buttered noodles onto plates and top with a chicken breast. Spoon additional sauce over the chicken and noodles, garnishing with chopped fresh parsley.
- Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the chicken, if desired.
