  1. Begin by seasoning the chicken breasts generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 6-8 minutes per side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Meanwhile, cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  5. Deglaze the skillet with chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese, allowing the sauce to simmer and thicken slightly.
  7. Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning the creamy sauce over the top. Let the chicken simmer in the sauce for 2-3 minutes to heat through.
  8. To serve, divide the buttered noodles onto plates and top with a chicken breast. Spoon additional sauce over the chicken and noodles, garnishing with chopped fresh parsley.
  9. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the chicken, if desired.
