- Prepare the Ingredients:
- Peel and slice the onion into thin rings.
- Wash and core the apple, then slice it into thin pieces. There’s no need to peel the apple unless you prefer to.
- Boil the Water:
- In a medium-sized pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
- Add Onion and Apple:
- Once the water is boiling, add the sliced onion and apple to the pot.
- Reduce the heat to a simmer and let the mixture cook for about 15-20 minutes.
- Strain the Tea:
- After simmering, remove the pot from the heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
- Strain the tea into a cup, discarding the solid pieces of onion and apple.
- Add Honey and Lemon (Optional):
- If desired, add a tablespoon of honey to sweeten the tea and a teaspoon of lemon juice for an extra boost of vitamin C and flavor.
- Enjoy:
- Sip the tea slowly while it’s still warm. For best results, drink a cup of this tea two to three times a day.
