Preparation:
- In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk the egg and then add milk, melted butter and vanilla essence. Mix well.
- Pour the liquid mixture over the dry ingredients and stir until well combined. The batter may have some lumps, but don’t worry too much about it.
- Heat a frying pan over medium heat and spread some butter or oil on it.
- Pour small portions of batter into the hot pan and form pancakes. Cook on each side until bubbles form on the surface and the edges are golden brown.
- Flip the pancake over and cook until golden brown on the other side.
- Repeat the process with the remaining dough.
And that’s it! You can enjoy your homemade pancakes with maple syrup, fresh fruit, whipped cream, or any other topping of your choice.
