Grandma’s Delight: Homemade Cheese-Filled Donuts

passed down from my grandmother of 60 years. Quick, easy and full of flavor, these cheese-filled donuts are sure to become a family favorite in no time. Let’s roll up our sleeves and embark on a culinary journey that will leave you wanting more!

Ingredients:

For the dough:

1 glass of warm water (200 ml)
1 glass of warm milk (200 ml)
1 tea glass of oil (100 ml)
2 egg whites
1 packet of instant yeast (10 grams)
2 tablespoons of sugar (40 grams)
6 cups of flour (740 grams)
1 teaspoon of salt (8 grams)
For the filling:

125 grams melted butter
150 grams white cheese
For brushing on top:
2 egg yolks
Prepare the dough:

Mixing liquids:
Start by mixing warm water and warm milk in a mixing bowl. Add the oil, separate the egg whites and pour them into the mixture.

Add dry ingredients:
Next, add the instant yeast and sugar to the liquid mixture. Stir until the sugar and yeast are completely dissolved.

Add flour:
Gradually add the flour to the mixture, stirring constantly. Don’t forget to add a pinch of salt for taste.

Knead:
Once all the ingredients are mixed, knead the dough until it is soft and no longer sticks to your hands. Cover it and let it ferment until it has doubled in volume.
Prepare the filling:

Melted Butter:
Melt the butter until smooth and creamy.

Add cheese:
Sprinkle the white cheese generously over the rolled out dough.
Assembly:

Roll out dough:
Roll out the dough and spread the melted butter evenly over it.

Filling:
Place the cheese filling on the butter.
