- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, toss the tutti frutti with 1-2 tablespoons of flour to coat them. This will help prevent them from sinking to the bottom of the cake while baking.
- In a separate large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, sift together the remaining flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
- Fold in the tutti frutti until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it out evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Enjoy your homemade Tutti Frutti cake with a cup of tea or coffee! You can also sprinkle some powdered sugar on top before serving for a decorative touch.
