- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, pizza sauce, finely chopped onion, finely chopped green bell pepper, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a burger patty.
- Grill the burger patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they're cooked to your desired level of doneness.
- During the last 2 minutes of grilling, place a slice of mozzarella cheese on top of each burger patty and allow it to melt.
- While the burgers are grilling, lightly toast the hamburger buns on the grill.
- Once the burger patties are cooked and the cheese is melted, remove them from the grill.
- Assemble the pizza burgers: Place each burger patty on a toasted hamburger bun. Top with additional pizza sauce, pepperoni slices (if using), sliced black olives (if using), and sliced mushrooms (if using).
- Serve the pizza burgers hot, with your favorite side dishes such as French fries, potato chips, or a side salad.
