  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Wash the russet potatoes and pat them dry with paper towels. Cut each potato lengthwise into wedges, about 8 wedges per potato.
  3. Place the potato wedges in a large mixing bowl. Drizzle the vegetable oil over the wedges and toss them to coat evenly.
  4. In a small bowl, combine the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the potato wedges and toss again to coat evenly.
  5. Arrange the seasoned potato wedges in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, skin side down.
  6. If desired, lightly spray the potato wedges with cooking spray. This will help them crisp up in the oven.
  7. Bake the potato wedges in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they're golden brown and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
  8. Once the potato wedges are cooked to your liking, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
  9. Serve your homemade KFC-style potato wedges hot, with your favorite dipping sauces such as ketchup, ranch dressing, or barbecue sauce.

Enjoy your delicious homemade KFC-style potato wedges as a tasty side dish or snack!
