Crispy Baked Chicken Wings

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds chicken wings, split at joints, tips discarded
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: your favorite wing sauce or seasoning for tossing

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. This helps to elevate the wings and allows air to circulate, resulting in crispier wings.
  2. In a large bowl, dry the chicken wings thoroughly with paper towels.
  3. In a separate small bowl, mix together the baking powder, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Add the dry mixture to the chicken wings and toss until the wings are evenly coated.
  5. Place the wings on the prepared wire rack in a single layer, leaving space between each wing.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through the cooking time, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  7. If you'd like, toss the cooked wings in your favorite wing sauce or seasoning while they're still hot.
  8. Serve the crispy baked chicken wings immediately with celery sticks, carrot sticks, and your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch or blue cheese.
