  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. This helps elevate the chicken and allows air to circulate around it for even cooking.
  2. In a shallow dish, combine the all-purpose flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.
  3. In another shallow dish, whisk together the eggs and milk until well combined.
  4. Dip each piece of chicken into the egg mixture, allowing any excess to drip off.
  5. Coat the chicken in the seasoned flour mixture, making sure it's evenly coated on all sides. Shake off any excess flour.
  6. Place the coated chicken pieces on the prepared wire rack on the baking sheet, leaving a little space between each piece.
  7. Lightly spray the chicken pieces with cooking spray or drizzle them with olive oil. This helps them crisp up in the oven.
  8. Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 40-50 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through, with an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) for white meat or 175°F (80°C) for dark meat.
  9. Halfway through the cooking time, you can flip the chicken pieces over to ensure they brown evenly.
  10. Once the chicken is cooked through and crispy, remove it from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
  11. Serve your baked fried chicken hot, with your favorite sides such as mashed potatoes, coleslaw, or corn on the cob.

Enjoy your homemade baked fried chicken, with all the flavor and crispiness of traditional fried chicken but with less oil and mess!
