WW-Friendly Banana Chocolate Chip Bars

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking dish by greasing it lightly or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, unsweetened applesauce, honey or maple syrup, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until a smooth batter forms.
  5. Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly with a spatula.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the bars are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
